Christina Aguilera Rocks the 'Today Show' Plaza

To celebrate the release of her latest album Bionic (out today, June 8), the lovely and talented Christina Aguilera performed a four song set on the Today show this morning. Check out her interview plus her performance of the title track and the first single "Not Myself Tonight":

Interview and "Bionic/Not Myself Tonight"

I was up bright and early (5am, anyone?) and plopped myself front and center with my buddy Ru (of Ru-Mix fame) to check out the performance. We were very visible on TV (I could have pushed Xtina over if I wanted) so you can definitely spy us in the clips!

I was very tempted to give her a nudge

Check out my up close and personal snapshots and more performances after the jump!

The Ru-Mix: We Rule The World, XXXO

Break out the beach towels and your portable speakers! The latest version of The Ru-Mix is here for your summer getaway. Check it out We Rule the World, XXXO.

As the music goes "On and On," and as "Brave" a feat it may be, you'll never find yourself "Dancing on [Your] Own" while pumping this mix. As Kelly Rowland "commands you to dance," and Alexis Jordan spreads her "Happiness" hopefully you'll find yourself lost in "Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans" with those "California Gurls" but remember "All the Lovers" are only going to "Break Your Heart." That's what Summer romance is all about though, right?

Watch Beyonce's Video for "Why Don't You Love Me"

Seemingly out of nowhere, Beyonce has released a new video for her song "Why Don't You Love me?"
beyonce why don't you love me video

The track was a bonus song on the re-release of her album I Am... Sasha Fierce in 2009 (the original release was Nov. 2008) and the video features Bey and her Bettie Page bangs vamping it up in a retro sexy classic TV housewives hybrid kinda thing. Check it out!

Watch Christina Aguilera's New Video for "Not Myself Tonight"

Christina Aguilera has been releasing some steamy images this week!

They've been a walk up to the release of her high-anticipated new video for "Not Myself Tonight" -- the first single off of her new album Bionic. Now Vevo has the exclusive premiere of the video and let me tell you, it is SPICY! Think of it as a "Dirrty" for 2010. Check it out!

6 Things: My Favorite Melanie C Videos

Yes, she was 20% of the biggest girl group of all time, but Melanie C (aka Sporty Spice) has had massive solo success in the UK and Europe. With five -- yes, five! -- albums of her own she's had a bunch of singles and videos out, but beyond "I Turn To You" most have gone unheard and unseen by us folks here in the States.

So, without further ado, please enjoy my six favorite Melanie C videos, in no particular order.

The Ru-Mix: Shiny and Warm

The sun is shining and the temperature is heating up, which means it's time for a new beach mix! Check out the latest edition of The Ru-Mix called Shiny and Warm which is pure pop perfection.

This mix features some of your favorite pop artists experimenting with a new sound (Christina Aguilera, MGMT) as well as some new artists (Two Door Cinema, V V Brown) that I hope you grow to love as much as I have. Now the real reason you want this mix is the standout tracks by Hot Chip, Goldfrapp, The Crookers and finally the much anticipated return of our favorite "Fembot," Robyn. So take a listen: hang out, dance out, and get ready to feel "Shiny & Warm."

New Music from Kylie Minogue -- "All the Lovers"

One of my fave fave artists, Kylie Minogue, made a special announcement on her website this morning and revealed a snippet of the first single off of her upcoming album. Check out the fun and dreamy "All the Lovers."

"All the Lovers" -- out June 28, 2010 -- will be the first single off of Kylie's next album called Aphrodite, which drops on July 5, 2010. A fitting title for the petite beauty, no?

It's not a long clip, but what's your first impression of "All the Lovers?"

Turn Your Home Into a Video Club with YouTube Disco

Ever been to a bar where they play music videos on the TVs, but have different music playing on in the background? So annoying, right?! Ever thrown a party at your place and wanted to play your favorite music and have something interesting on your TV, too? Tricky.

Unless you're a weirdo (like me) who has DVDs of music videos laying around then throwing your own video party might be a challenge. That is until you utilize one of YouTube's coolest, but basically unknown, features -- YouTube disco.

First Listen: Christina Aguilera's "Not Myself Tonight"

After several years without a new album Christina Aguilera is finally back with some new music.

Take a listen to the first single from her upcoming album Bionic titled "Not Myself Tonight."

I think the Lady Gaga comparisons are inevitable, but I don't think she's biting Gaga's sound; I just think that's the sound of music today. I like to think of the tune as a 2010 version of her hit "Dirrty." Sexy lyrics, great beat and her signature vocals. If this is the direction her new album headed I'm very excited to hear the rest.

What do you think of "Not Myself Tonight"? Good single? Lemme know your thoughts!

The Ru-Mix: Has to Be (Do the Ru-Box 2.0)

It's a bright and sunny Spring-like day in NYC and I can't think of a better way to enjoy it than with some new jams. Update your iPod with some new tunes from The Ru-Mix.

The Ru-Mix: Has to Be (Do the Ru-Box 2.0)

Book-ended by
Robbie Williams and Madonna, this mix is introspective without sacrificing the groove that I love. Fans of that sound will definitely enjoy this mix, with stripped out versions of Calvin Harris, Goldfrapp, Mariah, Beyoncé, and some new artists such as Marina & the Diamonds and Medina. I highly recommend the continuous mix, but an individual tracklist is also included below.

Download the continuous mix here.

Beyonce Gets the Lady Gaga Treatment in "Telephone" Video

Last night was the world premiere of the music video for Lady Gaga's latest single "Telephone" featuring Beyonce.

In the nearly 10 minute clip we see Gaga pick up where the "Paparazzi" video left off as she's sent to prison. Don't worry though, her buddy Bey is there to spring her out before getting some revenge of her own. Check it out!

I have to say that the world hasn't really been excited for a music video in quite some time. I think the clip was fun, exciting, provocative and really pretty. Love the bright colors and stuttering edits. I particularly enjoyed watching Beyonce put some Gaga into her moves, just like Gaga channeled Bey in the "Videophone" video.

What'd you think of the "Telephone" video?

OK Go Wows Again with "This Too Shall Pass" Video

The guys of OK Go are back with another revolutionary music video. You may remember their remarkable treadmill video for "Here It Goes Again" (one take!), but the boys have outdone themselves with the new clip for "This Too Shall Pass." Check it out!

The whole thing is like a big game of Mousetrap... but technically is a Rube Goldberg machine. The video was filmed in a two story warehouse, in L.A. The "machine" was designed and built by the band, along with members of Synn Labs over the course of several months. Wonder how many takes they had to do before it was perfect? Very cool!

If you happen to be a big fan of Rube Goldberg machines:

  1. You're a tool.
  2. You might like this version which cracks a Cadbury Creme Egg!
Yay, Science!

Gabriella Cilmi Is a "On a Mission" with Latest Single

If you ever needed a song to lift you up and energize you on a rough morning then this is the song for you! Check out the video for Aussie singer Gabriella Cilmi (pronounced like "chill me") single "On a Mission" and prepare to be pumped up.

This song was all over the place when I was in London and I immediately had to download it. The video is cheesy and fun, and if the tune doesn't make you break into a spontaneous Tae-Bo session then something might be wrong with you.

"Foot on gas. Key in ignition. Can't stop now cos I'm on a mission."

Put Your Mind at Ease with RainyMood.com

I feel like I say this all the time, but the Internet is awesome. There is a website for anything and everything. I just stumbled across this new site over the weekend and it's definitely going to be one that I frequent often.

Ever find yourself sitting at home thinking, "I wish it was a rainy day so I could just stay under a blanket"? Well, now you can have a rainy day whenever you want. RainyMood.com turns your computer into a gloomy day in a simple and clean display.

Just go to the site for a 30-minute high-quality look of a thunderstorm. When the 30 minutes is over it just reloads and starts again. I used to to take a nap and it was amazingly relaxing. Better yet, you can play your most relaxing iTunes playlist at the same time for even more zen!

Happy lounging.
