Clip Du Jour: Sickycat Dolls
The Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll on The CW could be one of my new favorite shows this season. Last night was the premiere episode and audiences were treated to watching 18 mildly talent (yet hot) girls gyrate around and sing to inspiring hits like "Buttons" and "I Don't Need A Man" **Disclaimer: I love these songs and PCD, no haterade here!**
The highlight of the show for me was when one girl's mysterious virus spread to several other contestants; possibly ruining their chances of dancing on stage in lingerie and holding a microphone (if they're lucky.) Please enjoy this montage of girls barfing:

Why I Blog
I started my blog in the summer of 2004. The original concept was to write a blog entry once a week detailing my senior year of college and what I was doing in preparation for graduation and "the real world." We had a class senior year called Capstone that was comprised of us 10 broadcast communications majors. Each week we had to update our blogs about a specific topic and also update everyone on what we were working on.
We invited our friends and families to read our blogs to stay up-to-date on what we were doing. I've always been interested in writing and found the blog to be a great way to keep up my craft and creatively write at the same time. My blog entries tended to be very family-oriented and PG, because I knew who my main readers were.
Three years later I'm still writing in my blog, but the focus has definitely changed. It was really fun for me to blog about my college career and my steps towards my goals. It was fun for my to chronicle my days as an NBC Page and all of the amazing opportunities that came along with it. Now that I'm out there and working for larger companies I'm not really ethically allowed to blog about what I do on a day-to-day basis, so the focus must shift onto things that I'm observing in the world around me.I'm going to try to incorporate more media into my blog, like more photos and video. I hope that everyone continues to read and take away something entertaining from each post. Thanks for the support!

Clip Du Jour: Tech TV
I think I've watched this clip at least 800 times since I discovered it in college, but it's one of my favorite. Check it out.
What you should take away from this clip: When doing a segment about a one-of-a-kind, fragile piece of technology don't have Shakyhands Magee do the demonstration.

The Lucky Bean Tree
Earlier this year my parents sent me a lucky bean tree in celebration of the new job that I got in July. The tree is supposed to bring you good luck and grow with your success. Much to my surprise, the tree went from being a little scrappy thing to a big, tall tree with lots of new branches and sprouts.
Unfortunately over the last month the tree has really dropped a lot of leaves. We had to pull out one of the growths because it died. It's just not looking that great. Perhaps this tree shouldn't be called a "lucky" bean tree, but more of a "present day representing" bean tree. Today was my last day of work at my job and it obvious that the tree knew it was coming all along. Thanks for the warning!
