Today's clip comes from a link sent to me by my friend Kristian. It features (in my opinion) the cutest girl I've seen so far today telling her mom what she's going to do if a monster comes out of the movie into her house. Please watch and be cuted out.

Clip Du Jour: How to Handle Monsters
Happy Friday, Everyone! To start your weekend off right, I'm sharing what could be one of my favorite Clip Du Jours of the month.
Today's clip comes from a link sent to me by my friend Kristian. It features (in my opinion) the cutest girl I've seen so far today telling her mom what she's going to do if a monster comes out of the movie into her house. Please watch and be cuted out.

Bravo, Bravo!

Last night was the finale of Bravo TV's Top Design and I have to say, it was very anticlimactic. The final design challange came down between Matt and Carisa, and each one of them had to completely design a full loft apartment in Los Angeles. They had two months to prepare for the challenge, and five days to execute their design.I think it was fairly certain that Matt was going to win the entire contest. The judges have always liked his work and he seems to take the safer, classier route that the evil judges seem to love. I personally think Carisa designs some pretty cool rooms (like the "air" room from a few weeks ago) but her design wasn't strong enough to win.
The ending of the show was not nearly as exciting as the finales of Project Runaway or even Top Chef, with the show ending just like any other episode. I was also bummed that we didn't get to see the lofts in more detail. The dark floor colors and strong lighting in the spaces made it difficult to see a lot of the details and differences in color and design. Oh, well. Matt's $100,00 richer. Click here to check out all the cast videos and photos of their designs.Right after the Top Design finale was the premiere of the new show, Shear Genius! Let me tell you, I can already see that this is going to be one of my new favorite shows. This show has the same appeal that Project Runway offers; people creating "art" of sorts of other people with their bare hands. Granted, I think the contestants on Top Chef and Top Design are very talented, too... but I don't taste the food they make, or sit in the chairs they pick out. Those shows don't have the same draw for me.

So last night on the premiere the contestants on Shear Genius had to pick and hair model and create "hair art." I know, right? The contestants went to a local Michaels craft store to pick out junk to stick in the girl's hair. Unfortunately the overconfident Frenchy was cut out (get it?!) first. His hair art basically looked like he stuck two ponytails on the side of this girl's head and called it a day. Way to not try, Paul Jean. Some of the hair art actually looked pretty cool, like Dr. Boogie's (where do they find these people?)
Check out Paul Jean's crazy-ass exit interview after he got the boot. Hopefully this will be the look towards things to come in the future.

The Lottery Ladies
Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you had a joyous Easter or Passover or whatever holiday you may have celebrated this weekend. Did the bunny bring you anything good? How was all that matza? We'll talk about that later...
I'd like to bring attention to something that is near and dear to my (and my roommate's) heart; the lottery! I don't actually play, but I do enjoy screaming my predictions at the screen just before the numbers are drawn. There is something much more exciting about the lotto, though... Every night between Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune the lovely ladies of the New York State Lottery grace us with their presence and flamboyant introduction skills. Each night a different lady enthusiastically declares her arrival before giving the winning digits for the evening. There are several different ladies that present the numbers, but only two of them stand out to me.
The first is Kristen Olby who (according to the NY Lottery website) "is a native of the Albany area who has extensive experience working in front of the camera. She is a full-time student pursuing a Master's degree in Childhood Education. She enjoys traveling the state on behalf of the Lottery and meeting lots of new faces!" Adorable! The thing that I like the most about Kristen is the way she so eloquently reminds us that the results are being monitored by an auditor from KPMG. *sizzle*
I will have to say that my personal favorite is the Latina firecracker, Yolanda Vega! This sassy lady makes you forget that you're watching ping pong balls with numbers on them pop out of a machine... if only for a moment. Yolanda didn't always have the successful television career that she has today... oh no! Before crushing the dreams of hopeful ticket buyers nightly, Yolanda "work[ed] as an accountant at a bagel company... and was as a clerk at a dry cleaning store." Who knew?! I can't really explain Yolanda's enthusiastic style in writing, so check out a clip of her performance below.
Best of luck, lotto players!

Clip Du Jour: The Easter Bunny Hates You
Contrary to popular belief, the Easter Bunny isn't so nice to everyone out there. To celebrate the holiday I've decided to post this video from my friends at Black20.com to remind everyone to be careful this weekend. When you're searching for those chocolate eggs... what you might end up finding is a kick to the throat.
