UPDATED: Ice Cream Makers Have Great Commercials

You may remember my previous post about new commercials for Cold Stone Creamery. They are hilarious and I still laugh at them today. Not to be outdone, Baskin Robbins have recently put out some equally funny promotions.

These new commercials feature kids who can't go to Baskin Robbins because they did something they weren't supposed to do. Luckily for them, an ice cream-craving adult comes to the rescue. Check them out.

Which one's your favorite?

UPDATE: Apparently today (and every Tuesday) is Buy One Sundae Get One Free day at your local Baskin Robbins! Thanks, Matt! GO GET ME ONE!

MTV Says, "You WILL liike this band... Or else."

Happy Monday, fools. Hope you had a nice weekend. I spent the weekend enjoying the cooler temperatures (I'm ready for Fall, thanks) and watching massive amounts of television. Don't act surprised. I will admit that MTV sucked me in basically all day on Sunday by stripping the entire fourth season of America's Next Top Model.

By watching the network for an entire day I learned something new: MTV really wants you to like the band Paramore. They have been running Paramore-themed promos and bumpers for the last week and I will admit that I was tempted to go check them out. I had heard of the band before because my pal Jiscilla was connected, but didn't know too much in depth. I checked out their Myspace page and liked what I heard. Downloaded a few jams... very cool stuff. This post isn't about the band though. They rock, but MTV's onslaught is making kinda not want to listen to them anymore.

Apparently Paramore is MTV's Artist of the Week, which I didn't even know existed until now. They have been featuring the band and their music in promos and in skits for their new shows. Their single "Misery Business" has been blasted on every commercial break for the entire week and weekend. Enough! I love the song and I think the band is rad, but it's overkill. It makes me want to flip the channel.

I guess this blog was more of a rant than informative, but it's a gloomy Monday. Sue me. Maybe I'm only overkilled on Paramore because I watched the same channel for 14 hours yesterday, but I think the MTV promo crew might have made them just a tad over-exposed. Regardless, they're a sweet band so go check out their music, but maybe avoid MTV for a week.

Do you feel the same way?

Thing of the Week: Reality Show Shockers!

Happy Friday! Hope you had a nice week and have an even nicer weekend! And now, your Thing of the Week:
Reality Show Shockers!
In last night's eviction ceremony, the houseguests made a major move and voted to evict Dustin out of the Big Brother house!

Clearly Dustin was shocked by this vote, and you can expect to things to really shake up in the next few weeks. Click his pic for the video.

In other shocking plays, Sabra was voted America's Favorite Dancer on So You Think You Can Dance last night. I think she's great, but what was really shocking was the fact that Lacey was cut right away.

She definitely deserved to win, in my opinion, but each of the top four dancers were fantastic. What did you think? Click the pic for Lacey and Sabra's weird Wade Robson choreographed "foxes" dance.

Black20 News with Jessie Cantrell

It's Thursday, which means time for some Black20 News. I found out through the grapevine that some people don't actually watch these videos... what is your problem?! My Dad told me last weekend that he watched it for the first time and is hooked... so get on that!

This week host Jessie Cantrell tells us about the latest in the Trapped in a Closet Series, MuggleLove.com and the scariest cat lady I've ever seen in my life. Enjoy!

A Bicycle Built for Two

I mentioned my adventure on Kelly's tandem bicycle. Words really aren't necessary for this post. Enjoy.
