Vlog About Things: Top Model Episode 5 Recap

Wednesday night marked another edition of America's Next Top Model and you know Carolyn and I had to add our 2 cents in about the show with a vlog. The girls had to learn to pose in the air... so they jumped on a trampoline for a while and got flipped around on ice skates. Leave it to Tyra Banks to turn girls jumping on a trampoline to the unsexiest thing on television. It was like watching them drop crash dummies from a airplane to test the impact!

Regardless, check out our in-depth coverage of the shallow topic and see how devastated I am because my pick to win got eliminated! argh!

Buffo Strikes Back

I'm sure you've been my rant about Buffo the Clown and how my family likes to torture me with the memory of that ill-fated birthday party... If not you can learn about it here. Well, apparently someone in my family felt the need to continue the torture by purchasing a Buffo the Clown t-shirt and having it mailed to me. NOT COOL!
I mean... I'm not really sure how I feel about this. I will say this though- If you are going to send me an anonymous gag gift if the mail, make sure that they don't put your receipt in the package, AUNT PATTY AND/OR UNCLE JOE!!!

Sleep with one eye open.

Kelly Clarkson at the Beacon Theater

Last night I got to check out Kelly Clarkson's My December tour as it made its second stop in New York City at the famous Beacon Theater. I had great seats and Kelly was awesome! I've always liked her, but I definitely have a new respect after hearing her sing live. That chick can sing! Of course I took a million pix and some video, too, so here are the best ones... The first pix aren't great, but Kelly started the show on the stairs in the red dress like her album cover. It was sweet.

Weekend with the Family

This past weekend I made the trip back home to the greater Pittsburgh area to spend some time with the family. I celebrated my birthday a week early, and my brother went to his homecoming dance... of course I had to be there to tease and taunt.

A bunch of my family members came down to visit (including that baby!) on Saturday and I took a lot of pictures, obviously. Here are the faves:

I miss Grommit!!!

Aunt Freddie and Grandma trapped me on the couch

Grandma with baby Maura!

Maura was not feelin' the pumpkin hat

She was a little unsure after the hat incident...

...and then she passed out. (ps- baby jeans!)

If you ever thought I was weird, you can see where I get it from

While Maura napped we paid attention to the other baby of the family

Time for everyone to get a photo... even Maura

I even got one, too

Aunt Freddie and Uncle Jim rockin' the 'his & hers' sweaters

...and finally me with Pappy and Grandma

Very fun time at home! It was great to see the family and hear how loud we all get when we're together. Nothing beats having the dog howl relentlessly while we sing Happy Birthday. Now I'm back in the city that never sleeps, but I am definitely looking forward to my next trip home for the holidays.

Going to the movies this weekend?

Happy Friday, everyone and TGIF! This week, for me at least, felt like it was at least 12 days long. Very happy that Friday is here and it's almost the weekend. I'm also very happy that it finally feels like Fall... no more 85 degree temps. I'm headed back home to Pittsburgh for a few days to see the family and get in a early birthday celebration for myself.

What are you doing this weekend? If you're thinking about going to the movies, but don't know what's worth seeing, you should check out this new feature on iVillage.com called iVillage at the Movies! (Don't act like your surprised at my shameless promotion.)

Each week the site is updated with trailers, photos and inside information. Plus there is a Movie Insiders group where you can dish on films with other moviegoers and see what to see and what to skip. Check out the site and let me know if it helped you pick a flick this weekend!
