Meredith Vieira Goes Gaga for 'Today Show' Halloween

Ali Goldstein/NBC

Every year the hosts of the Today Show go overboard (in a good way!) with their Halloween costumes. They've dressed up as everyone from The Munsters, to famous singers, to the characters from Star Wars.

This year the gang had a less unified theme, but all dressed up as very recognizable faces like Justin Bieber, Amelia Earhart, and most notably Lady Gaga as interpreted by Meredith Vieira. Not only did the hosts get involved, but the show also had cameos by Tina Fey and Will Farrell, who were there in costume to promote their new film Megamind. Check it out!

Watch the Video for Katy Perry's "Firework"

katy perry firework video

"Firework" is one of my favorite songs off of Katy Perry's latest album Teenage Dream and I am so excited that it's been released as a single. Check out the beautiful and moving video for the song.

Also, please enjoy Katy Perry performing "Firework" on X-Factor.

I like how it's conceptual, with cool special effects, but isn't over the top. Great video, Katy.

What do you think?

The Naked Truth: Hornby's Book Is Worth Reading

By Sherri Breitigan, Contributing Writer

Nick Hornby’s most recent book, Juliet, Naked (well, it’s new to paperback, and for cheap people like me, that’s quite new enough) illuminates the self-reflection of four main characters: Tucker Crowe, a washed-up American rocker (we’ve seen characters like his with Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler and Jeff Bridges in Crazy Heart), his precocious young son Jackson, Annie, a driven Englishwoman embedded in a bleak coastal town, and Duncan, her long-time partner/Tucker Crowe music obsessive.

The storyline is circuitous, with Tucker Crowe’s character and music being the catalyst and common denominator. Duncan’s character sheds light onto the sometimes overeager nature of music fans that leads to late nights on the Internet with message boards discussing a musician’s worth and influence. The rumor mills flourish and these people spout off facts and holier than thou musical declarations while the rest of us plug our ears and focus attention back to an Excel spreadsheet... or a vodka tonic.
