Artist Showcases Miniature People in a Big World

A while back I posted a story on these awesome miniature iPhone scenes, so naturally when I saw more mini-scenes on Some Kinda Blog I had to share them, too!

This latest round of minis -- aptly called The Little People Project -- comes from an artist named Slinkachu, who has been creating his tiny scenes since 2006. The best of his work can be found in the book Little People in the City: The Street Art of Slinkachu.

Take a look at a few of my favorites!

'Born to Be Wild 3D' Swings into IMAX This April

I went to a special screening of a new film coming to IMAX theaters on April 8, called Born to Be Wild 3D. It's an amazingly cute story of orphaned animals, shot in spectacularly real 3D. Check out the amazing trailer for the film here:

Narrated by Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman (obviously), Born to be Wild 3D is an inspiring story of love, dedication and the remarkable bond between humans and animals. This film documents orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them.

Stunningly captured in IMAX 3D, Born to be Wild 3D is a heartwarming adventure transporting moviegoers into the lush rain forests of Borneo with world-renowned primatologist Dr. Biruté Mary Galdikas, and across the rugged Kenyan savannah with celebrated elephant authority Dame Daphne M. Sheldrick, as they and their teams rescue, rehabilitate and return these incredible animals back to the wild.

The story is great and hello - baby animals in 3D! You can't miss it. Born to Be Wild 3D opens in IMAX theaters on April 8, 2011 (find tickets near you here), but you can also watch webisodes of the animals from the comfort of your own kingdom.
