Watch the Video for "Wet" by Nicole Scherzinger

Ever since Nicole Scherzinger released her latest album Killer Love I have been waiting for her to release my favorite song, "Wet", as a single. Good news for me, the song will officially hit the airwaves on August 28, and Scherzy has released a sexy new video for the song exclusively to MSN UK. Check it out!

From MSN:
Nicole Scherzinger has been hard at work filming the video for next single, Wet, which is due out on August 28.

The video was shot in a single day to accommodate her schedule as a judge on the US version of
X Factor.

"Wet" will be the fourth single taken from the album
Killer Love.

Previous singles "Poison", "Don't Hold Your Breath", and "Right There" have all made the UK top three. This run of hit singles has seen Nicole become one of the most played artists on UK radio this year.
Nicole is one of my favorite artists lately, and I've always enjoyed her playful attitude and amazing dance moves. Not to mention the fact that she's got a seriously underrated set of pipes.

The video itself was fun and sexy, but shockingly not very wet for a song of the same name, no? Where's all of the blasting fountains and slow-mo shots I expected?

What did you think of the video for "Wet"? Leave a comment!

Animal Planet Premieres 'Hillbilly Handfishin'': Where Do I Sign Up?

I love that the Discover Channel -- and its sister networks like Animal Planet -- keep coming up with all of these shows about oddly specific and unusual niche careers. Collectively we'll call them Ice Swamp Log Hunters. They all focus on some blue collar career that falls under the category of, "It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it."

For me, the Ice Swamp Log Hunters shows all sorta run together into one jean short-wearing pool of murky river water, but Animal Planet's newest incarnation may be a must-add for my DVR queue. Behold the awesomeness that is Hillybilly Handfishin':

The premise is simple: Professional hillbillies (What? That's the name of the show!) Skipper Bivins and Trent Jackson, give city-slickers a taste of the redneck lifestyle by leading them into muddy waters and teaching them to "noodle," a.k.a. blindly stick their delicious fingers into the murk and yank out giant catfish.

Check out this girl giving it a try, which could easily pass for an episode of I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant.

Don't worry, if you can't make it down to noodle on your own, Skipper has a guide to learn how to handfish on your own in 10 easy steps.

Hillbilly Handfishin' premieres on Sunday, August 7 at 10pm on Animal Planet. Anyone else going to tune in? Leave a comment!

Sweet iPhone App: Fare City

This weekend I was sitting around with a group of iPhone users and we were talking about our favorite apps. Someone brought up this free game called Fare City and now I'm basically hooked.

Fare City is a taxi game where you manage multiple cabs while picking up passengers and dropping them off where they want to go.

You start by clicking the cab you want and drawing its destination on the road. The cab lights up and picks up the passenger. Then it's up to you to draw its path to the destination without crashing into other vehicles on the road. It almost has a Pac Man feel to it.

The longer you play the more taxis are added and it becomes quite tricky. Trust me, it's a lot more fun than my explanation may have you think!

If you have an iPhone you can download Fare City here.

People Watching at the 23rd Street Subway Station

Continuing my trend of "people watching" videos, check out this interesting look at the mundane activity inside the New York City subway system.

This video was taken watching commuters wait for the trains at the 23rd Street C/E Subway Station in New York City. Video was taken around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon.
