Well, I can officially die happy now. I have successfully seen the Spice Girls in concert. I saw them at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. I know that for some it seems odd, but if you really know me you know that last night was probably one of the biggest days of my life.10 years ago when the Spice Girls were actually big... at the peak of their success they went on a world tour. I was 15 years old and couldn't find anyone to go to their concert with me (shocking.) Now, 10 years later they have reunited and I was able to see them last night (and will see them again two more times before the tour ends.) It might seem a bit excessive, but think about it... they will never go on tour again so I need to get it all in now while I can.
The concert was amazing, and I'm not just saying that because I am a fan. The set was sick, the transitions between songs were really smart and kept the energy going. I didn't sit down once, even during the slow songs. I don't want to give too much away for anyone that might still be going, but they did a really cool job of incorporating some of their solo work, and acknowledging the hits they had after Geri left the group.
