So You Think You Can Dance Top 8 Recap

The top 8 dancers performed on So You Think You Dance this week. They were assigned new partners again, performed 2 routines a piece, and each did a solo, too. Lots to talk about. I was by myself this week, and admittedly very tired... but check out the vlog! I forgot to talk about all the solos in the video, so check out my thoughts below, along w/ full details on each number.

I thought Will's solo was weird and a waste of time. It didn't show off his abilities and his time was up before he started really doing anything. Bad call on his part, if you ask me.

Courtney's solo was beautiful. I think girl's contemporary/lyrical solos all tend to look the same, but Courtney did a really nice job with this one. I enjoyed it.

Twitch's solo was fun. Got the audience cheering and slapping his hands. Typical Twitch.

Katee's solo was the kind I mentioned in Courtney's summary... just pretty standard. Not very exciting. Nice, but nothing special.

Comfort's solo was just like it is every week. She pops and jerks all over the place and does that weird snake-y thing with her arms. Nothing new.

Mark's solo was weird again. I don't feel like he did much "dancing." He just seemed to run around and continually jump off the stairs. I was waiting for more.

Chelsie's solo was fun. I think it's hard for a ballroom dancer to do a solo, as you're always partnered in ballroom, but it was nice. Chelsie's lovable.

Joshua's solo was SICK!!!! The way he popped and cranked his arms and legs like he was on a mini-bicycle or something... just wicked awesome! Love seeing Josh get down like that.
