The Balloon Project

I found this web site a long time ago, but am just getting around to writing about it now. The Balloon Project started out when 2 guys from San Francisco thought it would be fun to tie a ton of balloons to a small camera and watch the footage as it soars over the city. They soon realized that they were getting some amazing and beautiful aerial shots and decided to take their project all over the map. Here's where they've shot:

The Balloon Project has their own YouTube Channel where you can watch their footage from each city, but I'll give you a little sneak peek... This is the balloon's view of New York City's Central Park. Check it out as the camera starts in Columbus Circle and goes right over the Columbus statue. Very cool.

Must be fun chasing the camera to try to get it back!
