'Jon & Kate' Odds and Ends

Last week's Season 5 premiere of Jon & Kate Plus 8 on TLC scored huge ratings (more than the finale of Lost) and sparked a media firestorm about the show and the future of "America's Favorite Family." To avoid the already over-saturated blog coverage of the Gosselin's day-to-day life I'd just like to share a few interesting items that popped up over the weekend.

The first is a hilarious clip from The Soup on E! which shows a montage of all the "Jon & Kate Plus ____" puns that the media have come up with...



Next up is a new picture of Kate Gosselin in a bikini while on a recent vacation (sans Jon.) Can we just talk about how great she looks for a minute? This women had 8 CHILDREN! I know she had a tummy tuck, but still... she's looking great.


Lastly, this morning I glanced at People.com and noticed that 3 of their 5 most read stories of last week were about the Gosselins. I guess they really are America's favorite family.


I personally love the show and the family, but I (along with many others) am starting to feel a little icky watching the Gosselin's life unravel on TV. I'll totally still watch though.
