Titan Radio one of the top in the U.S.

Just a little bragging about my alma mater and the station where I started out my career in broadcasting. Check out the press release from Westminster College's Titan Radio:
NEW WILMINGTON, Lawrence County-- Titan Radio really tunes in well when it comes to standing out as one of the best college radio stations in the country. Titan Radio- WWNW-- is one of the "Best College Radio Stations" in the country according to the 2009 Princeton Review college rankings. The Princeton Review's annual survey of 120,000 students released this week ranks Titan Radio as number 18 in the country.

Emerson College's radio station in Boston took the number one spot. Titan Radio now sits on a list with such prominent institutions as Stanford University, Brown, Seton Hall and Ithaca College. According to Westminster Communications Studies, Theater and Art Chairman David Barner, Titan Radio may be small, but it's student staff is committed to professionalism and audience as it broadcasts on the air and the web.

"This is a wonderful surprise for our students, staff and faculty to be named as the 18th best college radio station," Barner said. "We work hard to teach and put into practice the sklls and art of running a radio station through a vigrous liberal arts model. Our students experience all aspects of broadcasting from the newsroom to live sports coverage. Today's Titan Radio staff as well as alumni share in this recognition."
