This morning Good Morning America premiered the official debut of the trailer for highly anticipated film The Hunger Games, which hits theaters on March 23, 2012
The muted, emotional and enticing trailer focused on The Reaping, where the leads Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) are selected as tributes to compete against 22 other children in a fight to the death. We also saw sneak peeks of the tributes training for the Games, along with other major characters like Haymitch (Woody Harrelson), Elfie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) and Cinna (Lenny Kravitz).

How exciting?! I think this trailer was great. Gave us some very exciting imagery of pieces special to series, like the menacing hovercrafts and even a brief view fo The Capitol itself. Plus, how ominous was the countdown to the start of the Games?
