6 Things: My Favorite Melanie C Videos

Yes, she was 20% of the biggest girl group of all time, but Melanie C (aka Sporty Spice) has had massive solo success in the UK and Europe. With five -- yes, five! -- albums of her own she's had a bunch of singles and videos out, but beyond "I Turn To You" most have gone unheard and unseen by us folks here in the States.

So, without further ado, please enjoy my six favorite Melanie C videos, in no particular order.

We'd Be in a World of FAIL Without Infomercials

as seen on tv funny video

The people that you see on all of those infomercials and "as seen on TV" spots are always a hot mess, but don't their colossal screw ups to make you feel just a little bit better about yourself? You might be having a rough day or week, but at least you can open a carton of milk without exploding it all over yourself, right?

Check out this tribute to some of the best (and worst) commercial FAILS in this great montage...

'So You Think You Can Dance' Announces 12 All-Star Dancers

Last month Fox announced that there would be big changes to the new season of So You Think You Can Dance. The show will utilize past dancers or "all-stars" as partners to the new contestants. Each all-star will represent one style of dance, and the new contestants will be partnered with a different all-star one each week.

Executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe has been leaking the names of the all-stars over the last few weeks, but SYTYCD has officially announced the 12 former contestants who will debut when season 7 of the show premieres. Here is some info on the all-stars and the styles they will be representing on the show.

Get Jules Cobb's Home's Style from 'Cougar Town'

In my opinion, Cougar Town is one of the most underrated shows on television. It's funny, smart and has a ton of heart. Unfortunately the title is a little misleading, but the show is great.

cougar town house

One of the most searched -- and most talked about -- things about the show isn't the cast or the characters, it's the interior design of Jules Cobb's house.

Entertainment Weekly took an inside look at the show's comfortably chic set and gives its readers tips and info on how to create Cougar Town's style at home. Click the pictures to see the full image.

Scans from Entertainment Weekly, ABC

I'm not a super huge fan of her living room, but her kitchen is awesome on the show. The best part of her house is the new bathroom she had put in a few episodes ago. It's bigger than my apartment.

Cougar Town airs Wednesday nights at 9:30pm on ABC.

Go Behind the Scenes with Tyra Banks for New 'ANTM' Opening

I'm totally loving the new opening credits for America's Next Top Model. I think they're fun, fresh and funky!

Fear the 2-headed laser-boobed Tyra!

The new open features Tyra Banks and the potential models grooving and posing with lasers and mirrors. I wondered how much of the open was real and how much was special effects, and thankfully Ms. Banks posted this behind-the-scenes video on Tyra.com from the shoot. Check it out...

Best. 'Lost'. Recap. Ever.

As the series finale of Lost on ABC grows closer and closer my obsession only becomes greater and greater. I've posted a few things about the series -- like these great fan videos and these funny Lost cartoons -- but this homemade series recap video blew my mind.

Get completely caught up on the first five seasons of Lost with this reenactment by a big Italian family.

New Music from Kylie Minogue -- "All the Lovers"

One of my fave fave artists, Kylie Minogue, made a special announcement on her website this morning and revealed a snippet of the first single off of her upcoming album. Check out the fun and dreamy "All the Lovers."

"All the Lovers" -- out June 28, 2010 -- will be the first single off of Kylie's next album called Aphrodite, which drops on July 5, 2010. A fitting title for the petite beauty, no?

It's not a long clip, but what's your first impression of "All the Lovers?"

'SNL' Creates the Shake Weight DVD

Baby Animals for the Win!

I have to be honest, today I woke up feeling evil. Like, EVIL, evil. Like, punch a baby evil.

In an effort to de-evil my day I listened to some "happy" music on my way into the office, but just to be sure I kicked the foulness I logged on to one of my new favorite sites; ZooBorns.com. It's a blog filled with amazingly cute images of baby animals from zoos around the world. Yay!

Turn Your Home Into a Video Club with YouTube Disco

Ever been to a bar where they play music videos on the TVs, but have different music playing on in the background? So annoying, right?! Ever thrown a party at your place and wanted to play your favorite music and have something interesting on your TV, too? Tricky.

Unless you're a weirdo (like me) who has DVDs of music videos laying around then throwing your own video party might be a challenge. That is until you utilize one of YouTube's coolest, but basically unknown, features -- YouTube disco.

Analeigh Tipton Close to Starring in New Warner Bros. Movie

Great news for one of our favorite America's Next Top Model contestants ever!

Variety
is reporting that Analeigh Tipton -- who came in third on ANTM Cycle 11 -- is in final negotiations to star in an upcoming Warner Bros. flick with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling. Tipton is slated to star as a babysitter with a crush on Carell.

Carolyn & Pat with Analeigh Tipton at the Top Model Obsessed launch party

We met Analeigh last year at the Top Model Obsessed launch party for Oxygen and she was even more amazing and sweet in person. In fact, she actually recognized me and Carolyn on the red carpet when we interviewed her.

Check out us talking to Analeigh at 7:10 in the clip. If you follow our vlogs you know I always wanted to brush her hair and she totally let me!

Hope everything works out for our "angel from heaven."

Sonic and Mario's Award Reunion

There has always been a long-time rivalry between those kids who grew up with Nintendo (cool) and those who grew up with Sega (weird) and unfortunately for Sonic it was Nintendo that came out on top.

Check out this clip of Mario and Sonic reuniting after a time of not seeing each other. ....aaaawkward.

Talk about total pop culture saturation: The Lady Gaga-influenced projects keep coming and coming! First there were numerous Gaga tribute performances, then there were Gaga Barbie dolls and even My Little Ponies.

'Tori & Dean' Take Their Home on the Road

In the fifth season (yes, fifth!) Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are taking their reality show Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood across the country.

This season the duo load up their family for an RV trip from Hollywood to Atlanta to visit their long-time-now-former nanny, Patsy. They load up the RV with their kids Liam and Stella and the guncles (gay uncles *groan*) and hit the road. Sounds like every family's worst nightmare, right? I smell great television!

In tonight's premiere we see the family set off on the trip and make their first set of rest stops along the way. I particularly enjoyed Tori's attempt at purchasing on ostrich from a very strange woman on the side of the highway. They also enter a steak eating contest where they are challenged to eat a monstrous piece of meat they may literally weigh as much as Tori herself.

Tori and Dean may be the furthest thing from the average American family, but there is something strangely normal about them. Tori's a regular, worrying mom; Dean's a loving but sometimes disconnected Dad and the kids are adorable and funny. I have to say that this is one celeb-based reality show that I actually find entertaining and endearing at the same time.

Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood premieres tonight at 10pm on Oxygen. Will you be watching?

Gemma Arterton: That Gorgeous Woman in 'Clash of the Titans'

As you may have read before the new Clash of the Titans movie is only so-so, but the shining star of the film was the stunningly beautiful Gemma Arterton, who plays the demigod Io.

gemma arterton

Seriously, I don't know what it is but I could not stop staring at Arterton any time she was on screen. The British actress is relatively unknown here in the States, but she is most likely about to become a household name.

Gemma did a stint of roles in the UK before making her first blip on the international radar as Bond girl Strawberry Fields in the Quantum of Solace with Daniel Craig. Following her role in Clash she will next star along side Jake Gyllenhaal as Tamina in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. (Watch Arterton dish on her Prince of Persia costar)

'Clash' Proves that Remake + Big Names + 3D ≠ Good Movie

The new remake of Clash of the Titans (in theaters April 2, 2010) has everything you think you'd want in a big blockbuster action movie. Unfortunately, it's always tricky when remaking a classic film, and the new Clash doesn't compare to its original inspiration.

It has big names (Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes), big action scenes and big 3D effects, but the combo of these elements does not a good movie make. Yes, the new animation and special effects are far better than the ones used nearly 30 years ago, but after the success of Avatar moviegoers have a higher standard of what it takes to "wow" them.

Honestly, the movie isn't bad... it just wasn't great. To me, the 3D was almost distracting. In the fast and furious action scenes the details of the action were almost lost in the three dimensional shuffle. I was often confused as to which character was which. The good news is that the film is also out in 2D so if you plan on going to see it I would definitely recommend that version.
I don't have entirely bad things to say about Clash, though; I do have to give a shout out the stunningly beautiful Gemma Arterton who plays the mysterious demigod Io. I couldn't stop staring at her.

If you're looking for a good date night action flick then Clash of the Titans is a good pic for you. If you're looking for something to live up to the original, I'd say to skip it or save it for your Netflix queue. Check out the trailer for Clash of the Titans here:

Are you going to see Clash this weekend?

Vegetarians, Beware! The Web Just Got Bacon-ier!

A recent study shows that eating bacon can improve your memory, which may explain why I have the most amazing memory IN THE WORLD! Or clogged arteries... whatever.

Perhaps this same memory-boosting magic will also work on the world wide web with this site: Baconlicio.us. All you have to do is put your favorite site's URL after the Baconlicio.us link and your site will forever be bacon-ified!

This site looks so beautiful with a big slab of bacon on top of it. And I couldn't help but be totally rude and bacon-ify a vegetarian website.

I'm the worst.

In other bacon-related news I also recently acquired these delicious looking (not tasting) bacon magnets from the Design Dude.

I love bacon.
