"When choosing gifts we tend to consider two factors: form & function, and an object’s compatibility to its recipient. It’s a lot like matchmaking, which can be a tough job.
With just a month left until Christmas, I’m sure many of you have already begun browsing for gifts. But in case you ever feel stumped while shopping for that “friend with everything” I’ve prepared some guides to help inspire some ideas, matched with four modern social archetypes. Good luck and happy giving!"

Fans of The Rachel Zoe Project who have been wondering, "Where's Brad?" and "who are those new guys?" finally have some answers! Bravo just announced that Zoe's former assistant-turned stylist Brad Goreski's new show It's a Brad, Brad World will premiere on Monday, January 2 at 10pm.
The series will follow Brad as he embarks on his own in the glimmering, cutthroat world of fashion styling. This docu-series will be an all-access pass into the life of the small-town Canadian kid who followed his dreams. While Brad obsesses with getting his clients red-carpet ready, he struggles to balance work and his home life with long-term boyfriend, Gary.
Here's Brad explaining the concept in his own words:
According to Bravo, Goreski's love affair with fashion began at age 12 when he picked up his first Vogue and became mesmerized by its pages. During summer breaks while attending the University of Southern California, Brad interned in the New York offices of Vogue and W magazines. After a chance meeting with stylist Rachel Zoe, Brad began working for her in 2008, until going out on his own in 2010. Since then, Brad’s life has attended the Academy Awards with Anne Hathaway, been photographed by Terry Richardson and made the cover of the Styles section of The New York Times.
Check out some additional photos of Brad Goreski and his boyfriend Gary Janetti from It's a Brad, Brad World.

"As the last leaves were shed, autumn’s second act revealed nature’s raw beauty. This month’s selection of things to covet revolve around reclaimed woods and earthy textures. Mixing rustic appeal with contemporary forms can add warmth and an understated sophistication to our homes.
Eco-conscious products have come a long way in quality and price points, so we have no excuses not to be thoughtful consumers. All of the items below have elements of reclaimed wood, hand-craft and/or sustainable materials. Now before you go on, I leave you with one final quip: It’s the wood that makes it good."
Wood makes in good indeed. I love the evergreen pillow and the modern but natural lamp. Wouldn't lose look nice in a relaxing bedroom? To find out the pricing info and where to buy this month's "I Want It!" products head over to Some Kinda Blog.

In the newest episode of America's Next Top Model All-Stars the girls are given the most difficult challenge yet, as they are asked to write and sing a song about their lives, with a surprising twist. A few of the models struggle with the task and reach emotional breaking points. Once the song is complete, rapper Game steps in to direct the women in music videos based on their songs.
There are no photo shoot pictures from this week's episode, but keep reading to see some stills from the models' videos and a sneak peek at the episode. (Click to enlarge!)
The hit design competition series Project Runway is getting a little sister of sorts, as Lifetime preps to debut the spin-off Project Accessory tomorrow, October 27 at 10:30pm following the Project Runway season finale.
Hosted by actress and model Molly Sims, 12 designers will compete and showcase their unique vision for accessories, and show audiences how to transform any outfit. Guest judges for the first season of Project Accessory will include some stylish celebs, like Emmy Award-winning actress Debra Messing and Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne.
The winner of Project Accessory will receive $100,000 from eBay Fashion to start their own line, a feature spread in InStyle and a year of professional runway hair styling courtesy of John Frieda Precision Foam Color.

"Fall has arrived and it’s been awesome for us in the upper central North American hemisphere. Our weather has been seasonably warm-even hotter than Vegas, if you can believe it-but we all know it’s not going to last. So let’s get ready to cozy up! For this month’s wants I’ve been attracted to warm things – wood, wool and glowing morning breakfasts."
I'm definitely digging both of those sweaters, and I wouldn't mind waking muffins and eggs either! To find out the pricing info and where to buy this month's "I Want It!" products head over to Some Kinda Blog.

The concepts for the photo shoots on America's Next Top Model All-Stars are getting more and more interesting... and kinda strange!
In the next episode the models get guidance from LaToya Jackson, sister of Michael Jackson, where they channel different evolutions of the King of Pop.
In the newest episode of America's Next Top Model All-Stars the girls participate in a photo shoot modeling Express fashions with male models, a few of the women struggle in front of the client. A campaign with Express is one of the final prizes, so which girl will make the best impression with the judges?

We all know that YouTube is composed of 95% cat videos, 4% of random crap from users (like vlogs about ANTM, for example) and about 1% actual helpful information.
A few weeks ago when shooting one a segment for Likes or Yikes? I needed to know how to pronounce the designer Lanvin. I thought I knew how to say it, but I couldn't get anyone in the office around me to confirm that I was correct. After some quick research online my coworker, Michele, stumbled upon the YouTube channel Pronunciation Book, which gives simple, spoken pronunciations for common words that may be a little confusing to say. Luckily for me, Lanvin was one of the words!
Were you saying it correctly? I mean, do you ever actually need to say this word aloud in your everyday life?
Four of the top six most-viewed videos on the channel are beauty/fashion related that may be tricky to the English-speaking individual, like Givenchy, L'Occitane and Hermes. Also up at the top is the berry acai, and the name of pop star Ke$ha, whose dollar sign may confuse those learning English for the first time (or anyone with a brain.)
But speaker, beware! There is also a spoof channel out there called Pronunciation Manual which gives incorrect -- albeit humorous -- pronunciations of commonly misspoken words. Try Onomatopoeia for example:
Audrey Marnay, the face of the new Longchamp ad campaign, has hidden in Paris her favourite bag: the Balzane bag of the Autumn 2011 collection! Go after it…
Ride on a superb motorcycle through the streets of an Autumnal Paris and find the new Balzane, the iconic bag of this season, before it disappears. The chase is on, the rock music starts, your motorcycle passes several of the most beautiful Parisian monuments.
You have to choose the correct itinerary knowing that only one way will lead you to the final destination where Audrey and her Balzane bag are waiting for you.
Luckily on your way you will meet three star bloggers (the Chinese blogger Jing Wang, the French blogger Eleonore Bridge of the blog de la méchante, and the American blogger Rumi Neely of Fashiontoast) who will give you useful clues.
The gorgeous and amazingly talented Adele landed to cover of the October edition of British Vogue.
While Vogue's headline was "Adoring Adele: Hometown Girl Goes Global," other publications -- specifically blogs -- have had a wide variety of headlines about her appearance and the magazine's choice to put the curvy 23-year-old on its cover.
Take a look at some of the headline choices for stories about Adele's Vogue cover and their sources.
Adele Covers British Vogue, Says She'd Be the Face of 'Full-Fat Coke' --NYMag.com's The Cut
Adele Says She's Not Worried About Her Body Image -- FitPerez
Adele's Head Graces Cover of UK Vogue -- Pedestrian.tv
Adele Talks Body Image Pride, Pre-Show Sickness In Vogue UK -- Huffington Post
Adele: I Won't Let Weight Obsession Rule My Life -- iVillage
I'm not going to obsess over being thinner or having bigger boobs, I don't want that in my life': Adele speaks out about her figure -- The Daily Mail
Obviously the source greatly dictates the voice and angle of their coverage, but strange how none of the headlines seem to mention anything about her being a singer/artist at all... Only that she may be fat and/or not fat.
I particularly love the headline from Pedestrian.tv calling out the fact that Adele's "plus-sized" figure has been omitted from the cover.
What do you think of the focus on Adele's body, body image and weight? Leave a comment!
The fourth season of The Rachel Zoe Project returns this Tuesday, September 6 at 10pm on Bravo, and besides Zoe's baby there are a few other new faces on the show.
First it was stylist Taylor Jacobson who left before season 3 (she's now a judge on Oxygen's Hair Battle Spectacular) and now bow-tie enthusiast Brad Goreski won't be returning for season 4. In a sneak peek clip from the premiere Zoe says Brad left because he wanted to live a more private life, which is interesting considering it was just a few months ago that Bravo announced he was getting his own series called It's a Brad, Brad World.
Goreski's vacancy has left a seriously stylish hole in the show's cast, so Team Zoe is getting two new dudes to make sure Rachel always has someone to giggle with. Joey Maalouf isn't a completely new member of the team, but is getting more prominent play in the show's fourth season. Maalouf is joined by newcomer -- and "man candy" as Zoe calls him -- Jeremiah Brent who is ready to try his hand at styling for the first time. More info from BravoTV.com:

I have been following his picks for quite some time now, and almost always wish I could snatch up all of the things he mentions. Now, Roberutsu has graciously given me permission to share his monthly posts with all of you starting with September 2011!
This month’s feature is going back to black. Of all the items below, the most intriguing is the blk beverage. At first sight, one might think of the bottle design as a nice example of minimal black packaging. But it may surprise you to know that it is actually a clear bottle. Yep. The water is, indeed, black. According to reviews, it "tastes like water, but not exactly like water." Hmmm, sounds interesting. I am definitely blk-curious!
I'm personally jonesing for the Hunter Sweater from YMC. To find out the pricing info and where to buy this month's "I Want It!" products head over to Some Kinda Blog.

I almost always wear contact lenses, but I am a secret four-eyes at heart. I've been sporting glasses since I was 8 years old (here's the awesome yearbook photo to prove it!) so when I heard about Warby Parker's home try-on program I signed up as fast as my fingers could type!
The way that it works is simple. You go to WarbyParker.com, shop their great frames, pick five that you love and Warby Parker will mail them to you free of charge to try on at home. You get five days to test drive and then you send 'em back in the prepaid box and purchase the ones that suit you best.
I picked out my five frames and received them a few days later. So, why not the readers decide which ones I should get? Keep reading after the jump to see the frames on my mug and let me know which ones to pick out.
The Oxygen network says they are Top Model obsessed, and they're definitely proving themselves! In 2009 they slated ANTM Cycle 8 winner CariDee English to host their show Pretty Wicked, and now they've tapped Cycle 3 winner Eva Marcille to host season 2 of Hair Battle Spectacular.
Season 2 of Hair Battle Spectacular -- premiering tonight at 10pm on Oxygen -- pits 11 of America’s hottest stylists against each other to see who can deliver the biggest and best in fantasy hair design. Part sculpture and part pop art, fantasy hair has become part of mainstream pop culture through icons such as Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna.
Across eight episodes, each challenge -- meet them here! -- requires contestants to create outrageous coifs that resemble everything from Hollywood stars to hounds and handbags. The stylists then enter the ring to bring the drama and present their hair creations in a high-octane and stylized performance.
After each challenge, the judges, including award-winning fantasy hair designer Derek J, former Rachel Zoe assistant and stylist Taylor Jacobson and a rotating guest judge, will critique the stylists on creativity, execution and overall presentation. In addition to blow-by-blow drama in the contest, there is also the day-to-day drama between the cohabitating stylists who fight each week to stay in the game and win the ultimate prize of $100,000.
Check out a video preview for the new season plus some more photos of Eva the Diva after the jump!
Say what you want about the last few seasons of Project Runway, but it will always be one of my guilty pleasures. And after months of waiting, the designers of season 9 -- premiering on Thursday, July 28 at 9pm on Lifetime -- have finally been revealed.
Season 9 will feature a whopping 20 designers in the premiere episode (don't worry, swift cuts are sure to happen early) with a wacky outdoor challenge and guest judge Kim Kardashian.
Mentored by everyone's favorite fancyman Tim Gunn, meet the 20 hopeful designers who will try to "make it work" in front of Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Michael Kors in the latest season of Project Runway.
On Wednesday we found out that Pennsylvania native Brittani Kline took home the title of America's Next Top Model for Cycle 16 (check out her portfolio here), but today even more photos from the Moroccan finale hit the interweb.
Take a look at the Cycle 15 winner Ann Ward walking the runway alongside Cycle 16 contestants Kasia, Hannah and Alexandria. Plus check out some new photos of Brittani and Molly at panel, and Brittani's winner's shoot with Tyra Banks.
