10 'Saturday Night Live' Cast Members You Forgot Were On the Show

Tim Kazurinsky, Melanie Hutselll and Pamela Stephenson

Although some Saturday Night Live alumni move on to become a part of everyday pop culture -- like Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey and Chevy Chase -- some don't have the same level of recognition.

Many former SNL players have slipped into obscurity following their tenure, but some are actually so well known for other things we forget they got their start on the long-running comedy show.

TopOnlineColleges.com (random!) has put together a fun list of 10 people you forgot were part of Saturday Night Live's cast of players, whether they deserve to be forgotten or not! Read the full list here.

Real Outtakes from Fake News on 'SNL'

snl weekend update bloopers

Everyone knows that some of the funniest moments from Saturday Night Live happen when the cast goes off script or starts to get the giggles. That may be the case for a lot of the sketches, but when it comes to the fake news of "Weekend Update" a lot of the funniest jokes and sketches never make it to air because of time, content or cringe factor.

Luckily for us there is a great compilation of "Update" bloopers now on Hulu for everyone to enjoy! Check 'em out.

Who Wins the "Most Awkward" Award at Your Thanksgiving?

A few days ago I posted about Anne Hathaway's awesome impersonation of Katie Holmes when she hosted Saturday Night Live on November 20. Today I came across a little gem of a sketch that was in the show's dress rehearsal, but never made it to air in the live show.

"The Thanksgivies" is an awards show dedicated to spotlighting those who make the holidays uncomfortable; giving out honors for categories like "biggest guilt trip" and "most uncomfortable grace." Check out Hathaway and the cast doing their best to ruin what's supposed to be a nice family dinner.

Anne Hathaway Nails Katie Holmes Impersonation on 'SNL'

Catching up on last night's Saturday Night Live with host Anne Hathaway and musical guest Florence and the Machine this morning and I'm very impressed! Everyone knows that putting together a 90-minute live comedy show can be hit or miss when it comes to the funny, but this episode had so many laugh-out-loud moments.

One of my new favorite recurring sketches is The Miley Cyrus Show with Vanessa Bayer. You know, it's like, pretty cool. This week Miley interviews Katie Holmes, who is mocked in a spot-on impersonation by Anne Hathaway. Check it out!

Would Betty White Do Nudity? 'Only a Little Bit'

The fabulously funny Betty White was on the Today show this morning, and Meredith Vieira dubbed her Hollywood's "oldest and newest 'it' girl." Pretty spot-on, right?

The actress talked about her recent resurgence in popularity and revealed that she's actually very anxious about her upcoming stint hosting Saturday Night Live on May 8. She said she is up for almost anything that comes her way on SNL, including singing and dancing. But would she do nudity?: "Only a little bit of nudity," she admits. Check out the interview...

'SNL' Alarm Clocks and More

Tina Tina Sharnu was back on last night's SNL with host Gabourey Sidibe. Apparently she has moved on from Car Horns and More to Alarm Clocks and More! Dig it.

'SNL' Creates the Shake Weight DVD

In all honesty, I can't believe it took someone this long to make a good parody of the Shake Weight, but the one from this past Saturday Night Live was truly magical. In fact, it was probably the only stand out sketch of the show hosted by Ryan Phillipe. Check it out below...

Tina Fey's Brownie Husband

The fabulously funny Tina Fey hosted Saturday Night Live last night. The highlight of the night for me was her commercial parody for every woman's fantasy: Duncan Hines Brownie Husband. Check it out...

'SNL': Car Horns and More!

Last night Saturday Night Live featured Jennifer Lopez as host and musical guest. I thought both the sketches and songs were all kinda "meh" but one sketch that aired way late in the show had me cracking up! Check out Jenny Slate's weird and awesome voice with J.Lo in this commercial for new car horns.

Ok, so I was pretty drunk when I watched it, but I stand by my statement.

Beep Beep!

Snooki Returns to 'SNL' for Weekend Update

Everyone's favorite orange guidette was back on Saturday Night Live this week looking an even more beautiful shade of orange than last time. Check out Snickers talking to Seth Myers on Weekend Update.

"We deserve to be compinscated!"

Sigourney Weaver Joins the Cast of 'Laser Cats 5'

Avatar star Sigourney Weaver was the guest host on Saturday Night Live last night and she brought a moderate amount of funny (although she looked amazing for 60 years old. Did you know she is 60?!). The standout sketch was the SNL Digital Short Laser Cats 5 where Weaver reprised her role as Ripley from Alien. Check it out...

"Ripley!"
"Believe it or not."

Snooki from 'Jersey Shore' Visits 'SNL'

Everywhere you look you will find people jumping on the Jersey Shore wave. Perhaps the most notable cast member from MTV's hit reality would be Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who now infamously got punched in the face at a bar by a dude. Clearly she's fine now, so it's ok to make fun of it.

OS X Lion, the new operating system for the Mac, is available now on the Mac App Store.

Snooki stopped by Saturday Night Live last night and I have literally watched it like 10 times and peed with laughter. Enjoy!

Rihanna Duets With "Shy Ronnie" on 'SNL'

Rihanna was the musical guest on last night's Saturday Night Live with Blake Lively hosting. In addition to performing "Russian Roulette" and "Hard" the singer also made a cameo in an SNL Digital Short called "Shy Ronnie" with Andy Samberg. Check it out...

The video was pretty funny, but Rihanna's timing and facial expressions were hilarious!

"Speak up!"

Teens Raising Awareness About Awful Parent Driving

While the teen driving-while-texting phenomenon is a growing problem, let's not forget how terrible parents can be when behind the wheel. Don't believe me? Check out this important PSA from last night's episode of Saturday Night Live with Taylor Swift...

Parental units, are you watching???

Highlights from SNL's Season 35 Premiere

While the biggest news from last night's premiere of Saturday Night Live with Megan Fox and U2 was about neither the host nor the musical guest. It was about brand new featured player Jenny Slate and her use of the F-word on live television. It's only the third time the effer has gotten on air in SNL's 35 year run. Way to go, kiddo.

Regardless of the snafu there were still a few funny moments from the premiere. These are my faves...

Grady Wilson's Burning Bedsheets DVD. (Funny until Fox comes on)

Creepy digital short with Fox and Will Forte. He makes me so uncomfortable!

...and prominent travel writer, Judy Grimes (my new best friend)

What did you think of the premiere? Did Megan Fox deliver?

'SNL' Wraps Season 34 with Some Fun Stats

This past weekend was the season finale of Saturday Night Live with host Will Ferrell and musical guest Green Day (check out the best sketches here.) The folks over at NYMag.com have pulled some interesting data on season 34 that I found quite interesting. Take a look...

No surprise that Kristen Wiig and political impersonations dominated the screen this season. Found it funny that Richard Dean Anderson (MacGuyver) was the third most frequent guest. NYMag.com also put together lists of this season's top 10 sketches and top 5 guest hosts. Any other sketches you think should have been on the list?

Baby Wars: Madonna v. Angelina

I can't get enough of Kristen Wiig. I also can't get enough as SNL newcomer Abby Elliott as Angelina Jolie. Watch as Elliott and Wiig as Madonna battle it out for the most foreign babies.

Also, if there is a real baby island I want to go to there.

Simple Advice In a Struggling Economy

In today's world the economy is definitely the biggest issue on people's minds. The good news is that there is hope out there for people who are struggling to get by. Oddly enough the advice comes from a Saturday Night Live sketch from two years ago...

I could name a few people who could benefit from this...

Bjork Comments on Iceland's Financial Troubles

I love Bjork. She lives on another planet. I love Kristen Wiig. She lives in New York, presumably.

Combine these two and I am in heaven. Watch Wiig as Bjork on SNL's Weekend Update talking about the financial strain affecting Iceland and her solutions for the problem.

Also, the Digital Short: I'm On a Boat was funny, but not the best. T-Pain was hilarious, though.
