Rosie O'Donnell May Return to TV

In news that will make Elisabeth Hasselbeck (and my Dad) want to scream, word on the street is that Rosie O'Donnell might return to television sooner than expected. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Rosie is in talks with MSNBC to host an nightly talk/news show that would give her the freedom to speak about the topics she couldn't bring up on her old talk show or on The View.

Apparently, the cable news station is looking to fill the 9pm time slot which is losing in the ratings to CNN's Larry King Live and Fox News Channel's Hannity & Colmes. Of course, no one is confirming or denying anything at the moment, but a later-evening cable show could be a great place for Rosie to push her opinion that is sometimes too harsh for daytime.

Rosie's talk show The Rosie O'Donnell Show aired on NBC from 1996 to 2002 and was a major hit. Her time on The View lasted less than a full season after she got into spats with Donald Trump and her infamous on-air battle with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck (Refresh your memory here.)

So... the big question is, "Is this a good move for Rosie?" Would you watch her on MSNBC if she got a new show? What do you think she would talk about? Who do you think would be brave enough to go on as a guest besides her friends like Kathy Griffin and Penny Marshall? What do you think?
