Air Travel Tips

There is a ton of talk in the news lately about airline travel and the nightmares people are experiencing along the ways. Fuel cost has made ticket prices rise and causes some customers to pay an extra fee to check bags. American Airlines recently grounded a number of flights for inspects and updates. A recent merger between Delta and Northwest has customers wondering what that means for their travel plans.

Clearly I don't have any answers about any of that, but I have been traveling lately and have been poking around the internet looking for tips and information on how to make my trips as painless as possible. I just came back from Florida last week and am actually flying back home to PA tonight, so I have plane on the brain. Here are a few helpful pieces of info that I found that you might find interesting, too.

Aviation.com has a cool slideshow on the Top 10 Ways to Avoid Air Travel Inconvenience. Some of them are pretty much common sense things, but there were a few that I didn't think about. Check it out.

I also stumbled across the YouTube Channel of travel expert Peter Greenberg. Peter often appears on NBC's Today show with travel tips and secrets, and he has his own channel dedicated to short and sweet clips filled with insider info. Here are a few of my faves about finding secret seats, replacing a forgotten phone charger, and saving money by using a credit card.
