NEW YORK - May 12, 2008 – NBC has identified the last piece in its late night succession plan, naming Jimmy Fallon as the new host of Late Night when Conan O'Brien moves to The Tonight Show in 2009.Fallon appeared on NBC's Today show this morning and showed a caption from his high school yearbook that said "James Fallon will take over for David Letterman on Late Night." Pretty creepy since Letterman hosted before O'Brien.
I'll miss Conan but I think Jimmy is a great replacement! Jimmy was a guest on Late Night last night and chatted with Conan about passing the reigns. Check out the 2 clips.
