Famous Photos in LEGO-Style

Found these awesome recreations on Snurfy.com of some of the world's most famous photos redone with LEGOs. That's right, LEGOs. Check 'em out.

Storming the beaches of Normandy

Protests in Tienanmen Square

Shooting of a Viet Cong prisoner

Raising the flag at Iwo Jima

Sitting on a girder at Rockefeller Center

Behind the Gare St. Lazare (thanks, Pierce)

The LEGO people look so much happier than the real folks. I wonder how long it took to recreate each photo with such detail? Very cool.

And if you think these took a long time, you should check out The Brick Testament. It's a huge, accurate and on-going depiction of every book and tale of the Bible done completely with LEGOs. The idea of this is simply too much for me to write about on my blog. My brain can't even wrap around it. Check that out, too. (Thanks to Sheila for sharing.)

Have you seen any other LEGO replicas I should know about?
