Last week I was traveling around spending time with my family and my friends outside of NYC. Here are a few of the photos I snapped along the way using Instagram for my iPhone.
Here's me with some of my little cousins (well, second cousins, I guess):
And some snaps of my trip to Charlotte and Boone, North Carolina to visit Carolyn!
I have to give a big shout out to my mom today as she celebrates her birthday!
My mom is rad and has taught me to be fun, adventurous and care-free. Case in point; check out my gift to her for her 50th birthday -- sorry for calling you out, Mom . A bi-plane ride over the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
I moved to New York City on July 11, 2005 and I can't believe it's been five years since me, my mom and my grandma schlepped my stuff from Cranberry Township, PA to The Big Apple.
Me, Gram and Mom outside the Today show on July 12, 2005
My apartment was small and dirty, my neighborhood was busy and cramped and I only knew two other people that lived here. I'm sure my mom and dad loved leaving me in the "city that never sleeps," but I'm sure glad they did.
In five years I've lived in more apartments than I can keep track of (like this one and this one), have had some amazing jobs, seen some amazing views and seen more inside-out umbrellas that you can shake a mangled handle at. I've met the most interesting people and made my life-long friends.
They say it takes ten years of living in the City before you become an official New Yorker, and if the next five years are anything like the first I'll have the title faster than a New York City taxi.
I have to give a big Father's Day shout out to my awesome dad, George, for being... well, an awesome dad.
Here's me and Dad circa 1988 playing my favorite board game at the time Dinomite. It was pretty sweet. We don't have giant hair, it's just weird shadows.
My good buddy Ysolt has started this great new site called My Mom Is Fabulous where readers submit pix of their mamas looking, well, fabulous!
Naturally, I submitted a photo of my own mom with an little paragraph about why she's the bomb. Here's the photo of my grandma, mom and aunt on my mom's wedding day in 1981.
I know I'm a little bit biased, but can we talk about how pretty my mom is?! And despite the '80s wedding get ups I think my gram and aunt are lookin' pretty fine, too.
You can view all of the other fab moms or send in your own picture on MyMomIsFabulous.com.
I had a blast yesterday while celebrating St. Patrick's Day with my friends, mom, aunt and cousin. We clearly had a great time, as evidenced by these photos:
Take a quick look at how the Sandora family spent Christmas morning. Pat videoed, Mom was doing Kung Fu, Dad was shooting his crossbow, Drew was asleep and the dog was eating a bone.
I went on a scanning binge when I was at home for Thanksgiving and dug up some really fun and old photos from my family's stash. This is one of my all-time faves.
This is me and my mom in our front yard of our old house. We had just planted that little tree. I was probably 3 years old or so and what a little nugget I was! This must be where my love of hoodies first originated. Also, can we talk about my mom's shirt? How can I get one like that today?!
I told you I was working on something and here it is! Carolyn and I always talked about her wedding coming up on our vlog, so we couldn't disappear for the weekend and not share a little bit of it with our YouTube family. Check it out...
I swear the wedding coverage will die down soon, but I'm still a little giddy for my homegirl, Carol. Check out the photos from the wedding if you haven't already.
Last week I was on vacationon the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We were there on a big family vacation to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday (sorry to blow up your spot, mom!) My gift to my mom was a ride in a bi-plane over the Outer Banks, sound and ocean. It was thrilling, exciting and beautiful. Check out the video and photos of our adventure:
My Dad and I went fishing together this weekend in the Connoquenessing Creek here in Western PA. We used to go fishing a lot when I was little, but I haven't gone in a really long time.
On my first cast my Dad said "Now, make sure you don't catch anything on your first cast" and two seconds later I hooked this 17" small mouth bass.
My Dad got this one...
Some people are just naturally gifted at fishing, Dad. I'm sorry. Here are some fun videos and some more photos from our morning in the creek (or crick if you're from PA).
My awesome little brother graduated high school this past week and boy do I feel old. This post is mostly for my family, but here are some video and photos from the Seneca Valley High School graduation 2009.
Every now a web site comes along that is just magical. AwardFamilyPhotos.com is one of those sites.
It's a collection of weird family and spousal photos—some of which really make you question the appropriateness of certain family members relationships... or their mental well-being.
It also forces (most of) you to take a fond walk down memory lane to remember some horrific family photos of your own. Take a look at some of these gems:
The family that shoots compound bows together stays together...
Someone was naughty this Christmas...
Awkward hair and awkward mom touching...
Missing: Chromosomes. Please return if found.
I hope the awesome picture of me and my little brother standing back-to-back never makes it on this site.
Last weekend I was back home in PA to visit the family and to attend my little brother's senior project fundraiser. He helped organize a bowling fundraiser event for the Autism Society of Butler County which featured a huge Chinese auction with prizes from local businesses (I didn't win anything. What gives?)
I spent the majority of the afternoon bowling and laughing (aka making fun of each other) with parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle and cousins. Was a blast. Here are some photos from the afternoon.

This was the food I ate. Brown, tan and beige.
